About Art at the Pink House
I am Cris Winters, and I opened Art at the Pink House in June 2015. The house really was pink (and still is), with an exuberant garden in the summer and is located right in the center of downtown Saranac Lake, New York. My little village is on the northern edge of the magnificent Adirondack Park, so I see mountains and water in all directions – quite beautiful!
Although I love all kinds of art, I have specialized in fiber arts for a few years. When I opened my gallery that first year, I showed my own work as well as that of several other fiber artists, with exhibits that changed each month from May through December. It was wonderful to work with and exhibit the work of so many artists and craftspeople! Since that time, I have gradually changed my business to one of teaching classes and workshops here at the Pink House and in other venues, and of selling my work in other galleries and at fine art and craft fairs. My own small gallery of my current works is now open by appointment and for our local Art Walks and Studio Tours with some open hours during the holiday season.
